| Dear
tournament organizer: The Ponoka Community
Golf Club would like to thank you for the opportunity to be considered for your
golf tournament in 2007. Since we have a very busy tournament schedule, we would
appreciate you making your application known to us as soon as possible.
As I'm sure you are aware, the Ponoka Community Golf Club is located in the town
of Ponoka (46th St. and Riverside Drive) and Ponoka is conveniently located in
the center of the province making it easy for not only your guests from all over
the province to attend but also from all over the country as we are also located
within 90 minutes of two international airports. Now, about our golf
course for those of you who have not enjoyed it yet;
The Ponoka Community Golf Club is nestled in the historic
and picturesque valley of the Battle River on the southeast side of the town of
Ponoka. "Golf Digest" recommends Ponoka Community Golf Club as "one
of the places to play for 2007. We are particularly proud of our recent expansion,
which includes a new tournament banquet room with seating for up to 200 guests,
which replaces the tournament tent we have used in the past. Previous attendees
will no doubt enjoy this upgrade.
At Ponoka Community Golf Club, it does not stop
there. In our pro shop you will find Rob MacPherson - Head Professional and his
staff who can and will work with you leading up to your event to ensure all the
little details are handled and your tournament players are looked after. Our pro
shop will take care of hole assignments, power cart assignments, proximity markers
and their placement, hole signs and their placement, range balls, scoring and
a great selection of prizes that our Head Pro and his assistants can coordinate
for your tournament. Since golf tournaments have a way of making people
hungry and thirsty, Dan Teed, our Clubhouse Manager and his staff will do their
best to make sure all your players are "well fed and watered". Our food
and beverage department can work with your organizers to arrange refreshment holes
on the golf course if required, breakfast or lunch before hand if you wish, a
well-stocked concession and beverage cart on the course. As well the Ponoka Barbecued
Steak dinner with all the trimmin's is one of the options after golf, along with
a well stocked "watering hole".
